Responsibilities

Saratoga Springs Figure Skating Club is committed to creating a safe and positive environment for members’ physical, emotional, and social development and ensuring that it promotes an environment free of misconduct.

Codes of Conduct give everyone a guide to what is expected of us if we are part of an organization, participating in a sport, or as spectators at our child’s events. SSFSC maintains Skater’s Code of Conduct, Parent’s Code of Conduct, and Coach’s Code of Conduct. Know the Ice Rules and Etiquette.

The essential elements of character-building and ethics in sports are embodied in the concept of sportsmanship and six core principles: respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, trustworthiness and good citizenship. The highest potential of sports is achieved when competition reflects these “six pillars of character” (Arizona Sports Summit Accord).

In General:

  • Respect the rights of others.
  • Respect the arena’s property and the property of others.

Additionally, all members contribute to the well-being of the club by volunteering and fundraising.
